Welcome to this website specially created for the Isle of Man Election 2006.

It is a great privilege for me to stand as a Candidate for West Douglas in the forthcoming Election and if elected I will endeavour to represent you and the Island to the best of my ability.

One of the main reasons for standing in this forthcoming election is because I want to be in a position where I can help bring back much needed common sense, audit and accountability into the governance of this Island. I am personally appalled by the level of Government spending over the last few years which has resulted in vast amounts of our money being spent with very little to show for it, except huge financial debts which will be passed on to future generations.

I believe this forthcoming Election could be the turning point for Manx Politics. For the first time you have the opportunity to vote not just for a Candidate you can believe in and who will work hard on your behalf, but for a Candidate who is a member of a Political Party formed by people of honesty, integrity and ability. I joined the Liberal Vannin Party because I support its Policy Statement and Manifesto which I believe will take the Island forward into a brighter future.

If elected, I would be honoured to serve you, the people of West Douglas as your full-time MHK in helping to bring about improvements and changes to Government and ultimately to our quality of life. One of my priorities will be to work towards meeting the individual and community needs of the constituents in areas where real concern is expressed and these are covered in more detail under Local and National issues.

It is my intention, if elected, to visit every constituent in West Douglas during the 5-year term of office, as well as holding regular meetings where I will make myself available and accessible. I will regard the constituents of West Douglas as my employers and it is to them that I will ultimately be answerable.
